What has happened to the Chess FM website that Tony Rook DJ'd from?
It hasn't updated most of it's material, such as tutorial's by GM's since
early February?

Is it just another "dot.com" idea gone bad?

Tony Rook is setting up a new "supersite" which is why the current one
has not been updated.

Has anyone heard an ETA on the new site? The message has been promising it
for a couple of months now.

Yes, I think he is. Oh dear, oh dear oh female deer or venison slice
thereof..

It was worth tuning in from time to time when it was free. And I can
understand the need for them to start charging for access (if, indeed,
that's what they are doing, although it is 100% conjecture on my part).
After all, you have to sell a lot of chess.fm panties to keep an operation
like that going.

Hopefully they will structure it so that an ICC membership allows access to
the new site without additional cost. If not, well, it was fun while it
lasted.

This is what the ICC has on this. Dennis Monokroussos said something
about there being a charge for the site but as stated above, maybe ICC
members may not have to pay extra?
