Default Dicktator at ICC..

G'day gruppen,

Recently while happily playing chess on ICC I was disagreeably informed
my right to add time to my opponents clock had been stopped. In effect
unregistered players are now denied this privelege. I feel for my
victims & like to encourage them from time to time with a little extra
of the aforementioned. It would seem that some dictatorial fungus at ICC
is now truly laying down the law..

How could they actually want MONEY for their huge internet service! What
are they thinking by having people register to receive full features! The
gall of them trying to run a business!

I agree. How dare ICC, or anyone else for that matter, ever attempt to charge
for a premium service..?? Why can't everyone, USENET included, just give out
welfare with full free service, no pop ups, no ads.. just free service for
EVERYONE!!!

snip

Wry humour, copious sarcasm, dollups of irony & hate-filled propensities
aside, I was under the impression ICC already from day one, did indeed
'charge' for top service. Let us be clear here that depriving sincere
players ("guests" is the chosen term used by the ICC administration) of
the ability to add time to another player's clock is petty &
spiteful. Why don't you ask Mr. Sleator, Mr. Will Bartender - how he
came by his expensive education uh? That's if the overweening smartass (
Mr. Sleator, if you happen to read this, pls. take it like a _ oh! never
mind..) can even hear you, which I doubt..

In my early days of ICC, I frequently played anyone that would answer my
"seek".. Many times I played against guests of the service... In many
instances, I have found them to be rude, often disconnecting as soon as they
were down even a pawn... their conversation was typically of an arrogant and
condescending nature (when they did beat me)... and they will often accuse you
of cheating if you happen to beat them.

I also believe that guests, and they far outnumber registered players, may be
the cause for ICC crashing periodically...

Em, you should come here more often, all the above 'irritants' are
routinely defined as 'moronic' by most here. The 'disconnector' moron is
a particular 'favourite'. I doubt this to be 'interface conflict'-
"Cclient" surely has a resign button, & while not in the familiar
Blitzin position it shouldn't matter that much. In short, someone at ICC
has dictated the many decents shall suffer for the riff-raff behaviour
of the few. Nice one Cedric (not)..

I also believe that guests, and they far outnumber registered players, may be the cause for ICC crashing periodically...
