I asked my friend Dimitrije Bjelica about the information that he could
become General Secretary of FIDE (if Gata Kamsky become FIDE President). He has informed me that Mr. Kamsky and he plan to build the house for young chess players from all over the world, in Igalo (Serbia and Montenegro). It would be nice and could have great importance in the chess progress and chess education in this part of the world. They also plan to open the museum "The Kings of the chess" in Igalo, too. I cite: Dimitrije Bjelica is a Yugoslav chess master who can be found in the Guinness Book of Records for playing a 312-board simul in Subotica in 1997 (sco +219-1=92). ... He has organised many big events and was the arbiter at tournaments like Linares. He has also been a good personal friend to players like Tal, Fischer and Karpov. If Kamsky and Bjelica win in this run for the President and General Secretary of FIDE I hope they will correct the injustice which was made to best chess player ever, to Bobby Fischer. Human life is limited by low of nature. Genuine chess player one day will die. Our duty is to help him during his life. Otherwise we have to bring a great sin. Maybe it's absurd to appel on humanity in present situation, but it's my instrict duty. I'll save my soul. And you? It is more blessed to give than to receive. Goran Tomic |
