Hello Everyone,
There is a new chess playing site with a different twist. This site offers all the same standard stuff that other chss sites offer like rankings, tournaments, individual rating, your own personal game history, no software to download, downloadable pgn games, chat, player profles and yada yada yada. What makes this site unique is that you can have as many games going as you want at the same time. Then what happens is that you log in each day or every other day and you play simult chess with all of your opponents. It is really unique. Each day I log in and make 15-20 move leave a message for my opponents, who in some cases are half way around the world, and log out. I play at my own pace log in when I want to and can log out anytime without having to worry about losing the game. All my games are stored and I can return to them at anytime. Sometimes my opponent is online at the same time so I play a little live chess until I have to go or until I get to a position where I think requires a little more thought. This site is really different. If you get a chance check it out. http://www.chessmaniac.com Now when you first get in there you might not get a game going right away. The best way to get multiple games going is to go to challenges or view online players and invite a bunch of players to play games. Make sure you insert you email in the move notification box when signing up for your account and you will get an email when your opponents have moved. I don't know if this is for everyone but I actually canceled my account with ICC. This site is really starting to take off and it has attracted some top players. Including the the Texas female champion Angela Alston. Anyway I just thought I would let everyone know about this great site. It is saving me money as I no longer have to pay for my chess. Again the site is http://www.chessmaniac.com If you join send me a challenge my name is Dennis Steele. 1. e4... .. |
