Please don't think of this response as a bad thing about your tournament. You probably run great tournaments but are these tournaments being held in the season with the least rain. That area your talking about gets a lot of rain and for several days straight. That was one of the reasons I heard that Oregon and Washington and even Vancouver didn't do well in big tournaments because sightseeing is hard to do there. EZoto |

EZoto They tried to schedule the event in the dry season, but it was hard to fit all the rounds into August 14. |

Didn't Portland draw 2200 or so players for a recent Scholastic National Event?

EZoto The NW is polluted enough without superb year-round weather to draw more people in. It may rain at tournament time, but probably not much. Everybody else stay away, especially in the summer. |
