OK, I see - an unreasonable amount of time has elapsed. Fair enough. Mr. Sayers will have a hard time getting another game under that name with anyone who reads this forum.--fs Then Mr. Sayers should have said something to the effect that he's going on vacation, etc. etc. It's very simple to communicate that in correspondence chess. Michael Sayers vs. Goran Fischer 1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 d6 3.d4 cxd4 4.Nxd4 Nf6 5.Nc3 a6 6.Be2 e5 7.Nb3 Be7 8.0-0 0-0 9.Be3 Be6 10.Nd5 Nxd5 11.exd5 Bf5 12.f4 exf4 13.Bxf4 Nd7 14.Qd2 Re8 15.c4 Bg6 0-1 If black has a winning advantage in the Sicilian game, I wish someone would point it out to me. --fs Ah, the Sicilian Najdorf. Sayers was on the right track when he moved 6.Be2. IMO, this is the most dynamic move to combat the Najdorf. However, Sayers didn't follow it up with ever more stronger moves like the Karpov System, which encompasses 9.Be3 10.Qd2 11.a4 etc. etc. After 10.Nd5, White is lost. Black equalized exponentially and should win easily. Regards, GF |
