I have seen these games myself and I can assure you that no-one other
than the great man himself is capable of +9 =1 -0 against world class
competition. There will be doubters, I am sure. But they will be
called "schmucks" by someone with great intelligence and capacity for
argumentation, and they will be set in their places.

I am not certain how it is done, but one report suggests that a robot
that looks like Veselin Topalov is being run from a distance by a device
that looks somewhat like a bank machine.


And in our lifetimes, too. I am in awe.

I'm incredulous. If "Topalov" indeed is RJF, I demand he signal this
during his next match by playing Re8 (either one is fine) at some
point to indicate that he really is who you claim he is. Only then can
we have full certainty.

Of course, "everyone knows" (as the trolls like to keep saying about their

really be "from Parts Unknown"--not with Lance Smith and Goran Tomic around--
and those 'internet detectives' might also be able to determine GBFPU's skin
colour and the marital status of his parents at the time of his birth.

Perhaps some chess newsgroups posts that appear as though they could have been
written by Bobby Fischer have been sent from a distance by something like a
robot. :-)

Here's some of the circumstantial 'evidence' in favour of GBFPU's hypothesis:
1) Bobby Fischer may have access to advanced Japanese electronic technology.
2) 'Veselin Topalov' is neither Russian nor Jewish.
3) The exclusion of Israelis from the FIDE event in Tripoli could have made
it harder for Mossad to uncover the Bobby Fischer connection.
4) Chinese GM Ni Hua's unusual openings could be explained by the possibility
that he was overhearing garbled transmissions meant for 'Veselin Topalov'.

And in our lifetimes, too. I am in awe.

May I propose the concept of a 'Fischer number', similar to an 'Erdos number'?
