Default WCC Round 6!

A short draw betweem Kasimdzhanov and Topalov, although Topalov has (very
slightly) more than just equalized with black, wonder why he did not play on
....

Radjabov v Adams is developing into an interesting QGA ...

Oy, it looks like Radjabov is not getting any compensation for the gambitted
pawn, Adams consolidates with every move ... did Radjabov's sunglasses
darken his sight?

Adams just played 30...b5 and might win the 'a' pawn next (move ...31) or
get in f5 which seems to stop counter play. Phil

Presumably on 34 black can't play Ne4

Oy vey, now Adams has not only the pawn, but also the initiative ... he is
going to squeeze Radjabov to death ... will the escape artist Radjabov
escape like in his Linares 2004 games against Kasparov?

Hey, Adams did play 42 ... Be4, soon there will be a Rook + 3 extra pawns
against two minor pieces, I think Adams will then try to hold/block the
queens wing and push his king pawns ...

hey Pete, he waited til move 43 to move the knight there - very interesting
sac of bishop and knight for the rook, now it looks like white cannot hold
(move 47 bl)

Radjabov found an interesting way to hold the kingside but Adams broke
through on the queenside ... great game!

Isn't this an interesting game! After your last post I didn't know which
move you were reporting. Good for you if you saw 42...Be4!!

Even so, white still made complications - did you think the last move would
have been Rxf5 which almost every player would have made, or guess the
actual move ))))

Cordially, Phil Innes
