Edmondson -- who lucked into Fischer

Edmondson did not luck into Fischer. Your statement is amazingly
mis-informed.

First, Edmondson had to get the Soviets to agree to let Fischer play
against them. Remember that Fischer had forfeited his spot.

Then, Edmondson had to get Benko to agree to give Fischer his place in
the Interzonal. Remember that it was Benko who had qualified, not
Fischer.

Next Edmondson had to get all the other top US Players to sign over
their rights to Fischer.

Next Edmondson had to get Fischer to come to the board to play the
games.

Lastly, and hardest of all, Edmondson had somehow to get Fischer to
the airport and onto the airplane to Iceland.

Each of these steps was very difficult, whereas all Fischer had to do
was play the chess games.

Jackie Beers, Fischer's best friend, later said of Edmondson, "What
that man did for him was unbelievable. He made Bobby the World Chess
Champion."

I never heard anybody categorize erectile disfunction as better or worse.
