Default Bobby Fischer is in Jail in Japan

..
Sam Sloan wrote:

I have just spoken to Tokyo and confirmed that Bobby Fischer is in
jail at Narita Airport, Tokyo, Japan.

I just hung up the phone after speaking to my good friend, the Dali Lamma.
He said that Fischer was detained on a mere technicality, because his U.S.
passport had been revoked.
After confirming this with the Pope, whom I speak to on a regular basis, I
phoned Dubya Bush to get his take on the situation. He said that the CIA had
informed him that a luny Fischer was no longer a serious threat to national
security, but since he had ticked-off Daddy, Dubya pushed through the passport
revokation and Bobby got hung-up at the airport as a result. I later confirmed
this with the Emperer of Japan -- another of my closest friends,

Regulations in that Bobby Fischer was charged with violating 50 USC
1701, 1702 and 1705 on December 15, 1992.
50 USC 1701, 1702 and 1705 is an act which gives the President the
authority to deal with any unusual or extraordinary threat to National
Security.

In my opinion, the case against Bobby Fischer is total bull****.

Ah -- the "Total Bull****" Defense! Was that one penned by Andrew Soltis,
or one of the other lawyers -- I have forgotten?

There was no threat to national security involved in the match between
Fischer and Spassky and therefore 50 USC 1701, 1702 and 1705 do not
apply.

Judge Sloan has given his ruling. No point trying to appeal, for Justice
Sloan is always right.

Sam Sloan is a candidate for US Congress

Excellent! If his time and energy can be tied-up in some sort of committee,
perhaps the damages can be minimised? :-)
