Here is how I lost a pawn recently. 1. e4 e5 2. Ne3 Nc6 3. Bc4 Bc5 4. Qe2 Nf6 5. Bxf7+ Here I didn't take with the king as I wanted to save my bishop. Subsequently, I analyzed that 5. ... Kxf7 6. Qc4+ Ke8 7. QxBc5 Is better for black as white no longer has the services of his King's bishop and the queen is exposed too early in the center.
