Right. Goletiani did poorly and finished near the bottom. However,
right after that Goletiani played in the World Open, beat two
grandmasters and missed an IM norm by half a point.

Shahade ran away with the tournament and achieved a glorious victory.

Anjelina lost three games in a row and dropped, out claiming too much
milk in her breasts.

Anna Hahn did not play.

I have an interesting question. What would happen if GM Susan Polgar
suddenly decided to drop out of the Women's team? Who would be her
replacement? This is just speculative because Susan Polgar IS on the
Olympiad team but I'm curious to hear who would be the one taking her
place?

Any ideas? And has such a contingency plan been put in effect in case
something like this happens?
