Lafayette, Grant, Hillary and Zsuzsa Polgar by samsloan
Jack LeMoine has just displayed the most astounding ignorance of American history imaginable. He should go back to wherever it is he came from. It could not be here, nor could it be France, because otherwise he would know that the Marquis de Lafayette, French Soldier & Statesman, was one of the most important persons in the entire history of France. The Marquis de Lafayette did not merely...

Scumbag Hal Bogner and chessmagnetschool.com can't be trusted by samsloan
The story that Bogner and his cohorts keep pushing is that FOC members were doing "dirty deeds," as someone previously wrote, and that necessitated Bogner playing the role of KGB informer for the Executive Director. One of the targets of Bogner's insinuations is me. So you are saying that I must be quiet now? I must allow these false charges to go unanswered? I'll state again for the record, I...

chess viewer needed by thedarkman
I'm looking for a viewer where you can play over games on-line, ie enter the moves yourself by moving the pieces rather than a .pgn viewer. I found one sometime ago but can't find it again. I'm sure there must be dozens of them out there but can't find a site which has one. Any help greatly appreciated.

Goichberg and his scams by samsloan
Goichberg has his own slate which includes Don Schultz, Stephen Jones, Joe Lux and Mike Goodall. Joe Lux works for Bill Goichberg. Stephen Jones is controlled by Hal Bogner, the biggest crook in chess. His new scam now is chessmagnetschool.com. This is the scumbag who was caught spreading confidential information which he illegally obtained. Schultz will do everything to fund his friends,...

Los Angeles Open Chess Tournament Results by expochess07@yahoo.com
Yesterday, Sunday, June 3rd, 2007, our chess club hosted a free, unrated, three-round chess tournament at the Exposition Park Library http://www.lapl.org/branches/06.html] in Los Angeles. The tournament consisted of four quads, with the fourth being assisted by Christophe Carter, who functioned as the tournament's house player. There were, therefore, a total of fifteen competitors who were...

Lilienthal still living? by Taylor Kingston
Can anyone tell me if Andor Lilienthal (born 1911) is still living, and what is the current state of his health? I believe he is the oldest yet surviving of the 27 original recipients of the FIDE GM title in 1950.

Hal Bogner and Stephen Jones by samsloan
We know that Hal Bogner is the mastermind behind the candidacy of Stephen Jones. We know that Hal Bogner committed illegal and unethical acts by revealing confidential information and members' private information. Then he forwarded this information to candidate Stephen Jones for political purpose. How can we trust Stephen Jones? He refused to speak out against Bogner. Jones asked for everything...

Hal Bogner is a scumbag - Never trust chessmagnetschool.com by judgementday@clerk.com
Hal, I for one feel personally violated that you snooped on me without my knowledge. No, I don't have anything to hide and you probably didn't find anything exciting involving me. And no, it has little to do with you personally, as I would be equally offended if any other outspoken person on this Forum snooped in on me. Even if you had approval from the Executive Director, your actions have...

Can you see, Garry - this is how an in-disciplined person's inquiry looks? by Chess One
A Kasparov Adorjan Correspondence Q. If yes, what was the reason behind it? Fischer? The explosion of globally available information? (Informator, ECO, bulletins), a new wave of revolutionary players? A. Can you see, Garry - this is how an in-disciplined person's inquiry looks? I never read anything quite like it - it's now up as an article at

Hal Bogner of chessmagnetschool.com was caught lying by samsloan
Hal, we can agree to disagree on this one. I don't really think you had any right to be inside those private areas. Nor do I feel that anybody else other than FOC members and Mr. Hall had any right to be there either. It was established as a private forum for those members. If there was any question as to what took place inside those forums, it was Mr. Hall's direct responsibility as a supervisor...

It is at http://uschess.blogspot.com/2007/06/call-for-peace-and-unity-for-sake-of.html Since she re-posts much of what is here to her own blog, I see no reason why we cannot re-post her words over to he Sunday, June 03, 2007 A call for peace and unity for the sake of chess Since I announced my candidacy for the USCF...
