Retirement Plan Update from Donna Alarie by samsloan
Post:44271 Posted: Thu May 03, 2007 3:47 pm Post subject: Retirement Plan Update Reply with quote May 3, 2007 Update as promised... To the best of my knowledge, USCF has not received a reply from its attorney concerning the legal questions that were sent to him last week. There is nothing unusual about that as the questions go back to the 2002/2003/2004 time period and may very well require...

Jerry Hanken wants to hire two new people! by samsloan
Jerry Hanken wrote: "Sad Sam has made some outrageously stupid posts but the one calling the Crossville staff underworked and overstaffed takes the cake!. As a member of the FKB 2007 US Championship Organizing Committee, I have worked with the office on invitations and other details, and it is clear they could make good use of at least two more people. For an EB member to continually attack our...

Gregory Alexander said "I assure you, from this moment forward; I will never do business with you. Don't call me, don't write personal letters to me again Hal. Our friendship is terminated." Smith said: "I wouldn't recommend anyone do business with him. If this is how he handles confidential information, just imagine what Chess Magnet School might do with your personal information." Can you...

Los Angeles Open Chess Tournament by expochess07@yahoo.com
Summons to Chess Tourney! Are you an utterly obsequious coward? We, the partisans, paladins, and protagonists of the Exposition Park Chess Club very greatly desire the attendance of brave chessplayers. This coming first Sunday of the month, May 6th, 2007, will be the occasion of a free, unrated, open three-round chess tournament. Cash prizes will *NOT* be awarded, but the names of the...

Chess book torrent request by MandersSonOfCranders@gmail.com
Hi there, I am wondering if anyone out here in RGC could upload the book "Akiba Rubinstein: The Later Years" to a torrent site. I have "Akiva Rubinstein: Uncrowned King", but cannot obtain "The Later Years" because the first edition is out of stock and the 2nd edition has not been printed yet. Any help would be much appreciated.

Is the Chess Strength enough? by Sanny
Currently Beginner level at GetClub.com plays moves in 4-8 seconds while it is easy to beat it. Play a game: http://www.GetClub.com/Chess.html Should I increase the depth of Begineer Level So that it thinks for 30-40 seconds but plays stronger moves? What do players like a stronger game or a quick game?

Sam's Grand Plan for Chess Life by samsloan
Thank you but I just yesterday received in the mail two huge boxes of Chess Life magazines sent to me by a life member. He sent me 244 magazines in all. He sent me all issues from 1976 through 1995 except for a few missing issues, plus all of 1973. I have wanted these magazines for two reasons: To get old rating lists for a book I am writing and to get columns written by a certain Chess Life...
