I read from chesscafe.com Novice Nook that one should study many games from strong players (e.g. masters) to get a good feel how a game is conducted. My question is - how fast is fast? And how do we contrast this study method with the method of guessing the winner's move, which I'm more familiar with, and as far as I'm concerned, is not a very fast way.

How do I analyse a position in chess? I cannot find enough detail in Eugene Znosko-Borovsky's How Not to Play Chess on how to do it. There seems many ways of doing this. Can someone actually document everything they think and note about in one position and explain it?
