Does anyone know what ranking Jessie was in the world and Europe at the time of her death? I found a reference a few weeks ago but can't find it again. I am also looking for anything related to Jessie, photographs, film, etc. I''ve just started a bibliography and have all the national press stuff, all reports in ChessMoves and BCM, etc. Really interested in

Silman's Complete Endgame Course - release date early to mid January 07 by Elijah
Been waiting for this one for a couple years. I noticed that the book now has a cover, so I figured the posted release day was finally for real. Emailed Silman yesterday and got this response: "As usual, it’s very late (my stuff takes me at least two years to write, and often more!). It was just sent to the printer and will be available in early to mid January, 07. It’s the first instructive...

Ethics, Shmethics by parrthenon@cs.com
SLOAN'S COMPLAINT VS. TANNER UPHELD The following note came to me today. For the record, I knew NOTHING about the Tanner ruling, but you have to say that since he is one of our guys in FIDE, this new information is hardly surprising. If the message is accurate, we now have a verifiable cheat on the Executive Board who is also a member of our FIDE "team."

"Earlier reports had quoted sources as saying that Federline had managed to find a buyer for the sex tape, allegedly made during the couple's honeymoon. One such offer was believed to have come from celeb porn specialist David Hans Schmidt, who was ready to shell out as much as US$100 million for the tape. Photos of the Tal Blitz Tournament by Ian Burton
The Russian website http://www.64.ru/?/ru/articles/item=1394 has a million photos (well, almost) of the recent Tal Memorial Blitz Tournament. One photo of particular interest is that of Svidler with his middle finger held high. There are no captions, and I do not recognize his opponent. Though we don't see the whole board, Svidler appears to be winning a rook. Was he made to play out a...
