Financial crisis versus Redman's rating by Sam Sloan
Financial crisis versus Redman's rating Dear Mr. Sloan, It is correct that my rating dropped below 2000, and I played in a Southwest Open and tied for first for the A prize. An old friend from Ohio, David Hater, playing in the same event and remembering my 2100+ rating from those years made a jocular remark about my winning an A prize.

Ensuring Sam Sloan does not get to sit on the EB by Taylor Kingston
Borked Pseudo Mailed wrote: Dysfunctional an organization as it is, the USCF with Sam Sloan anywhere remotely near the helm is a PR disaster of unprecedented proportions. It might as well shut down, pay Beatriz's kidney fund and all the staff all the cash to keep them out of Sloan's clutches, and hand over the Crossville keys to playchess, chessbase, ICC, FIDE - anyone but Sam. But...

Hanken more Fully Explains the OLM Title by Sam Sloan
Hanken more Fully Explains the OLM Title Jerry Hanken called me at 7:00 AM this morning to continue our conversation of last night. He says that I caught him as he was on the way out the door when I called him to ask about the OLM Program and he answered off the top of his head and that he was unaware of the thread that was going on. When Jerry hurriedly finished the previous conversation, he...

The Curse of Pillsbury by Spamscone@yahoo.com

Is a pawn worth a sacrifice? by Sanny
When I play with Beginner Level, I find the computer sacrifices its pawns for no reasion. But Once I am pawn up, I find that it is taking long time to defeat it. So was this pawn sacrifice done to improve the game position. Play a game at: http://www.GetClub.com/Chess.html But when I play with Easy/ Normal Levels It does not sacrifices pawns as it calculates its pawns being killed and save...

The Curse of Pillsbury by mjcar@btinternet.com
The lunatic called Sam Sloan madly drivelled: The source of the Pillsbury malady was his wife, Mary Ellen Bush. He married her in 1901. She had a genetic disease inherited from her great grandfather, Prescott Bush (1758-1846). By now, everybody of above average intelligence should have figured this out. The grandfather of our great leader was also named Prescott Bush !!!!

Ensuring Sam Sloan does not get to sit on the EB by Paul Rubin
Borked Pseudo Mailed writes: A thing that came out from one of my discussions - your poster "jr" is not GM Larry Evans, as I read. Instead it is definitely and certainly the fired and discredited ex-editor Larry Parr. Parr sent an email to someone at the federation with the same IP (207.200.11?.???) as is used for the "jr" posts. Parr must have forgotten he...

Bobby Fischer and Sam Sloan are both FELONS by Sam Sloan
wrote: Bobby Fischer loved to hate America. Now, Sam Sloan is an AMERICAN HATER. Sloan loves to move America, with his PRISION RECORD, and his FAILURE of friendships of former USCF Treasurer Tom Dorch. Sloan would just love to sniff Bobby's farts, *If* he could ever get the chess player's attention. Sloan is a US TRAITOR as a supporter of Osama Bin...

Ensuring Sam Sloan does not get to sit on the EB by Ray Gordon
I predict that, handled properly, this could get to the Post or the Times - as well as Slate, which may count for more. And my rebuttal dossier will follow within seconds. A chess federation that hires a relative of a known organized crime figure is in a very precarious position to be talking about morality on its board, but feel free to see what the public thinks.

Ensuring Sam Sloan does not get to sit on the EB by leshaun.fossett@gmail.com
This shows how unproductive and petty you people can be; it may be a contributing factor to the sorry state of affairs within the USCF. You mean to say that you are willing to waste your time and money on this, all because 1 board member you don't like was elected? You guys really need to focus on chess. Borked Pseudo Mailed wrote:

My old man won!!! sam Sloan, about time, What a reliefe....OUT WITH THE OLD by Peter Aravena Sloan
I hate to admit that I think Sam Sloan might actually try to make a change in the federation. Being that I am rated 2250 FIDE and 2201 USCF, I have a lot of disgust for things that never get done in this federation. Noone on the board of directors has ever been FIDE rated, or relies on playing chess as a source of income. Few things we need.

New rate at ICC? by Gil Baron
Worth it or not?. Will it lose members or not? I think the allowed five years at lower rate will cancel any losses. It did for me. I think 209 for five years is a steal. I think no play for non member is a mistake myself. It may cost more than it saves? -- Gil W0MN Yanoff +, the PDA reader Creed en las obras y no en las palabras
