Games of Zsofia Polgar in Rome 1989 by
Massimiliano Orsi
I'm the person in charge of the online database of the Italian Chess
Federation http://www.federscacchi.it/str_archpart.php, focused on
games played in tournaments in Italy and by Italian players in
tournaments abroad. By now, years 2002, 2003, 2004 and partly 2005 are
covered, but I plan to cover backward until 19th century and possibly
earlier.
In another thread, I've seen that the...

Fischer's prognosis by
yyy_ggg_xxx@yahoo.com
People claim that Fischer is crazy and does not have a sense of
reality. I guess there are radio interviews that support this.
so what is Fischer's prognosis; what mental condition does he have? Is
it bipolar disorder, alzheimer's, or something else?
Fischer could not have been crazy if he became world champion. crazy
people can't do things like that.

U.S. Chess Championship a Great Success by
Sam Sloan
U.S. Chess Championship a Great Success
I was skeptical but I have to admit that the US Chess Championship,
which concludes today in San Diego, was a great success.
Throughout the tournament I checked in several times every day to keep
up with the games and the results, and I rarely do that any more.
Under the old system of a 16-player round robin with nearly all the
players grandmasters, I...

Improve your chess in 7 days or less by
aqpbfqtoayuf@yahoo.com
How the heck do tournament competitors and top-rated players get so
darned good at chess? Well, I can tell you that the really good chess
players (the one's with the 2200 ratings) didn't get that good by
accident!
They had to study & practice extremely hard to get to where they are
today. Most likely, they've studied chess strategies for years and
have played hundreds (perhaps even thousands of...

Artificer
I want to use several computers in a manner that they all are

is added to create a mega super chess computer! Any idea?

Chess Book by
Artificer
I am playing chess on playchess.com and my actual elo rating on it is
1335. I am looking for a good book that can help me better! I am
looking for something that could provide me with popular openings,
middle and end game tactics and strategy. Of course I know that I
should read more than one book but I hope to find a book that will
provide me a jump start on every subject. Somebody recommended...

I was searching the American Phrenological Journal for references to Morphy
(there is a 3 page article, which is surprisingly good at giving his chess
results, but not particularly amusing for its phrenological observations) and
found a reference to what might another chess figure of the time period. However,
a later article mentions busts which they keep, including one of Morphy, but also
one of...

Tom Dorsch Wikipedia Controversy by

Tom Dorsch Wikipedia Controversy
I posted a biography of Tom Dorsch, the same biography I have posted
here.
Within the last two days, my biography of Dorsch has been
substantially deleted three times, on the ground that it constitutes a
personal attack.
Here is what I have written in response:
