i read in a book that it is good to castle early, preferably on the kings side. I have gone over many games and saw that the side that castled early on the kings side lost because there were so many ways to weaken his king pawns. So why do books say it is good to castle early on the kings side(preferably)?

Maybe drug testing is not directed against performance improving drugs, if there are any, but against the people who would use drugs at all. Maybe they don't want the game itself stigmatized by any sort of connection with the drug culture.
