What' up with USCF?? by
drummerman
While you can get better deals on chess software, books and equipment
from other vendors, I decided to support USCF with a rather large
software order. I submitted the order and was informed that my

same response. Consequently, ChessBase got my business. ...

Hello,
This thought is not new and certainly has been
discussed before but it's nice to think about
it again.
How about a match of:

one of the most positional players of all time but am having a problem
finding books that give a complete analysis of his games. I have obtained
"Tigran Petrosian-his life and games" but this book does not give good
enough analysis for a player...

Political situation in Dubai? by
utility_infielder@earthlink.net
Is this Emirate a state which a likely target of Jihadist radicals, or
is it instead more or less in the relative good graces of such groups?
Just curious as to how at risk a newly built Chess City would be to
911 type attacks, any thoughts?

Next steps for training. Chess coach advice. by
Jim Frapper
First some info on myself... I am an adult player who has gone from
1400 - 1700 in the past two years. I compete in as many tournaments
as I can. For example this year its been around say 25 games. My
main method of study was tactics utilizing my tactics books and
CT-ART. After the tourneys, I would then study my games and look up
and spend some time on opening theory. Blunder checks were...

Nimzo's Idiot by
ian burton
Everyone is aware, in one form or other, of the anecdote that tells us
Nimzovitch, after a particularly bad game, stood on a chess table and
shouted "Why must I lose to this idiot!" Like many good stories, it may
simply be apocryphal. If not, who was the idiot Nimzovitch was shouting
about?
