Hi, I'm a beginner trying to improve my blindfold chess ability. I have tried to play blindfold once, but with no sucess. Then I read in this newsgroups that the first thing is to learn by heart the color of each square as well as the possible knight and bishop moves from each square. I did exactly so, but I do not see any effect on my blindfold playing abilities.

Hi, I have just tried to play Fischer Random using Arena interface and a couple of engines - installed by default and the newst version of Baron. Interestingly after a couple of moves the game is broken by Arena with a note: "Arena Adjudication: Invalid move" ?! which is completely ununderstandable, as it happens most often after I make a simple move like d2-d4 with a pawn.
