Has anyone seen a daily chess calendar (along the lines of the Page-a-Day brand) for 2004? I've heard of them, but I can't seem to find any. Heck, I'd be happy to find *any* kind of chess calendar (wall, desk, etc.). Thank you, -Matt

When I open on XP file that was previously saved on non-XP PC, I see no diagrams, just an empty space. I tried to change the font from DiagramTTFritz to something else, then change it back - no luck!

Chess as a BAR GAME? by Sam Sloan
Time for another one of my little stories. In 1967, there is or was a bar in Berkeley California near San Pablo and University Avenue called the Steppenwolf. Many strong chess players went there to drink. The bars at which chess was played organized a chess league. At that time International Chess Master Charles Kalme was on the faculty of the University of California at Berkeley in the Math

My Experience with Native Americans by PJDBAD
There's nothing wrong with it. The term "Indian" came about when Christopher Columbus set foot on American soil and observed that the "indigenous peoples" were very spiritual, calling them "In Dios" -- "in God." Hence, the American-ized term "Indian This is a stretch: Columbus actually thought that he had reached the East Indies hence the people had to be Indians.

Question about Fritz and Chessmaster by Marco
I know this may sound like a very silly question, but is there a way to install Chessmaster as one of the "engines" in Fritz, so I can directly compare it with Fritz 8, Crafty, etc? Thanks, Marco -- Posted via Mailgate.ORG Server - http://www.Mailgate.ORG
