Prediction: Frank Camaratta will be next USCF President by
Jim
Does anyone care? Does anyone know who this person is? I ask again - does
anyone care?
This group seems to be obsessed with American chess politics, and it's not
as if America is even an important chess-playing nation. Enough of this
trivia!

Is ChessWorld.net (www.letsplaychess.com) ok? by
Dr. Robert Faurisson
A much better site is RedHotPawn! Better players, better interface, and
better webmasters.

I'm playing one game as guest.
Seems ok, is it worth being a member?
Any members wish to comment.

email chess organizations. a few questions by

i've been looking at a few email chess organizations as this is a route i've
chosen to play a classic strategy game and meet new folks. i have a few
questions i'd like to ask the experts:
why are they all free with limitations? is there a group of some kind out
there free without limitations?
also, i prefer a browser type setup (ie; redhotpawn.com/ itsyourturn.com).
both of these a free with...

Javascript PGN browser by
Roman M. Parparov
Hi!
I am looking for a Javascript PGN browser which is released under either
GNU, Artistic or Free Educational (or other free) License to be
incorporated into a larger chess information system (i.e. the javascript
code should be easily detached from the original product and inserted
into the new one, slightly modified if needed), with all (C) references
as needed. The system is going to be...

Who is the nicest Grand Master by
EZoto
Anand and Khalifman come to mind. As a matter of fact when the fide
knockout tournament came to the fore Khalifman won the title of FIDE
world champion. There were many critics of his title but it wasn't
harped on as you would think. Why? Because Khalifman is one of the
true gentlemen of the game. The way you describe Defirmian if he won
the FIDE knockout title no one can say anything bad...

Tim Hanke Chess Trivia Game by

Tim Hanke Chess Trivia Game
Several posters have suggested that I am slandering Tim Hanke by
saying that he intends to use his position on the USCF Executive Board
to force the USCF to sell his game in the catalog, even though the
game has not yet been produced and nobody knows whether there will be
a market for it.
Here are some quotes by Tim Hanke on this subject. Nobody paid much
attention,...

Chess & the Brain by

The researchers, in Canada, Finland, France, Germany, Japan and the Netherlands, carried out thousands of scans of people with average blood pressure and pulse to see how they reacted to certain tasks, such as focusing on a chess board or listening to a sound.

keres attack by
Tdeman
Hi,
I would like to play the sicilian scheveningen with black, but I'm worried
about the keres attack.
What are the plans for black to defend against the pawn storm and where are
blacks winning chances?
Should I caste long? I heard 6. ... h6 7.h4 a6 is a good defense.
Any thoughts?

Of Spittle, and Men by

..
Apparently, Nick's lickspittle, Dork Houlsby, is now attempting to confound a
few comments I made into a very general argument that Nick has *never*
criticized his lickspittle.
This comes as no surprise, because a while back, I read Mark Houlsby's very
similar claims. I am beginning to suspect that Mark may in fact really be our
SuperHero, "Dork"!
Of course, this is nothing but a *strawman*...
