Improve your chess in 7 days or less by [email protected]
How the heck do tournament competitors and top-rated players get so darned good at chess? Well, I can tell you that the really good chess players (the one's with the 2200 ratings) didn't get that good by accident! They had to study & practice extremely hard to get to where they are today. Most likely, they've studied chess strategies for years and have played hundreds (perhaps even thousands of...

Why non-server e-mail chess? by Pedro Saavedra
Could somebody enlighten me as to the rationale of non-server based e-mail chess? I have played both ways (and used to play correspondence, OTB and any other mode you can think of) and I find the server-based approach so much easier and satisfying that I am totally puzzled. Because I must access my games from different computers, and like to check them out during lunch break and after work at...

emailing fritz/chessbase games by DDEckerslyke
I run a website for our chess club. So far people have been emailing me games either as a text file, which is a bit laborious for them to type in, or, once they have played it through, as pgn which is very easy to work with. This week I suggested someone play through their game on Fritz and then email it to me rather than typing it out by hand. They sent me the cbh file, which, aiui, is a header...

Best Email/Web system for email chess? by Binary Sage
I'm wanting to start some email chess games with some of my friends but I noticed that there are a lot of web based email chess systems out there. Are there any recommendations on what is the best? I'm looking for PGN support but would like to have either email notifications or better yet, a html email with the board layout. Any suggestions? Thanks.
