tournaments, matches, or leagues for players who want to use every means
available to play extremely strong games - similar to the over-the-board
"Advanced Chess" events held in Leon Spain, where the world's best use
databases and playing engines to assist them in making moves.

Hi,
I'm new here and don't even pretend to be good at chess. What I'd like
to know is, which program do you use for chess by email?
I know there are a few websites but it seems to me that playing it using
a combination of an application and email makes more sense.
