eChess.co.za = turngames.com by
Gregory Topov
Anyone have any experience with the eChess turn-based (email) chess website
echess.co.za = turngames.com? There seem to be a huge number of registered
players there, and I'd love to get some feedback about the site from players
more familiar with it. My emails to the webmaster go unanswered. Thanks for
any comments anyone can offer about it!

Chess Commander (email chess software) by
Will McGugan
Hi,
I'm the author of Chess Commander, a chess game for the PC. Recently
I've refined the play-by-email part of the game. I'd like tou invite
people to try it out, there is a 20 day trial download available. You
will be able to start games in this time, but you can finish games
started in the trial period.
Chess Commander does lots of other things to, but I wont mention them
as this mail would...

Mike Leahy is a LIAR and a THIEF that Does NOT honor his so-called Money Back Promise by
newsgroup_mail
Yesterday I met with a local tournament player in our club who advised me
that he shelled out some money for Leahy's Bookup Express after having
recieved numerous emails aggressively encouraging him to upgrade from his
Bookup-Lite. He said he decided to give it a try mostly to stop the emails
from coming but found that he began getting even MORE emails after that (I
guess he was put on Leahy's...

Has anyone tried Chess Rally 2? My brother-in-law have been using it for
our email games, and it is really nice and easy, especially for a beginner
like me who is not 100% sure of his notation yet. If there are any other
beginners out there who would like to try it let me know... I think my
rating is 1350P, and I can do about a move or two per day.

Ethical cheating in online chess by
J Kazinski
When asked if using computers in online chess is "inherently
unethical" many consider it so. Users of computers are labeled
"cheaters." Many competitors mention that they would personally gain
no satisfaction from winning if they used computer assistance. Many
also equated using computers to letting the computer totally generate
the moves without any involvement from the player. Using computers...
