Ok,
When this showed up on a post I was unsure if it was directed to me or
to my post or to the person who responded to my post. So I had to look
up what "troll" ment in context of a newsgroup. I will say I had never
visited or posted to a news group before last month. Ater having read
about trolls, I must not conclude that I am now a troll. I am a rank
newbie who is too ignorant of the workings of the system to
participate in it. All of my questions have been for the most part,
sincere and only wishing to further success of chess. I am sorry for
any space that I have taken on this newsgroup. I am sorry for any ill
will that my posting may have provoked.

rabid dog that shows no mercy; it chews up and spits out those thin-skinned

PS. After a while you'll notice that the adjective "troll" is often used in
vain here. Many people over-use it to describe people who disagree with
them. It's relatively meaningless on RGCP anymore.

Be aware of the argot peculiar to the chess newsgroups. A subset of
the Brits posting here have contrived their own warped and perverted
definition of "troll". One could go into great detail, but their
essential position, as I understand it, defines a "troll" as anyone
disagreeing with them. (Multiple times? See "inveterate troll").
