oups.com... Stan you truly seem to be making false charges without any sense of responsibility. Show us it ain't so! "Chessdon" wrote in message ... The CFO quit the other day giving no reason. He left his keys on the desk and drove off into the sunset. That indeed was what we first heard. It turns out that he was sick with chest pains and will be back in work next week to do the financials. Don How did these financials turn out? Did Bill make us a pile? ROTFLMAO |

However, it is not my style. My preference is to be the only one right when everyone else is wrong. Therefore, I would never create an anonymous poster who agrees with me. In contrast, Kevin Bachler and Bruce Draney feel a need to have someone in the group agree with them, so when they feel outnumbered they go out and create a fake personality. I never do that. I was just researching the Bible to find out an example of this. Repent sinners and read your Bible. There is a story in the Old Testament that goes something like this: They brought 30 great and wise men and they all said that A was true, but this prophet said, no A is false and B is true. Then they brought 60 great and wise men and they all said that A was true, but this prophet said, no A is false and B is true. Then they brought 100 great and wise men and they all said that A was true, but this prophet said, no A is false and B is true. In the end it comes out that the prophet was right and all those other 190 were wrong. Can anybody find the name of this prophet because I am just looking and I cannot remember it? It might have been the same one who was told by God to lie. Sam Sloan I have found the passage in the Bible I had in mind. It is in 1 Kings 22. In this passage, the King of Israel is thinking of going to battle against the King of Syria. Therefore, he calls 400 prophets and asks them who will win the battle. All 400 prophets tell himthat he will win the battle. As the King of Israel is preparing for the battle, the King of Judea recommends that he call just one more prophet. With great reluctance, the King of Israel calls that one more prophet. That prophet, whose name is Micaiah, is called. Micaiah tells the King of Israel the same thing, which is that he will be victorious. The King of Israel says to Micaiah,"OK. Now, tell me what you really see." Micaiah replies,"Well actually I forsee that you will be defeated and your army will be scattered." The King of Israel gets very angry and orders Micaiah to be sent to prison. The King of Israel goes into battle and, just as the Prophet Micaiah has forseen, the Army of Israel is defeated and the King of Israel is killed. So, the 400 prophets were wrong and the one prophet Micaiah was right. The moral and application to this story is obvious. Sam Sloan |
