It's easier for me.

Why do you ask?

Are you now going to deploy the symbolism over substance argument that I
have violated net ettiquette.

Not revenge.

I've made it a personal goal to never let people forget what these

scumbags
did.

[...]

Chess in the United States is suffering under the remnants of this

horror;
and, to tell you the truth, I am sorry I ever heard of the game.

Hatred and bigotry are serious charges, which I have more than proved to

be
true regarding these people over the years.

Thus it is revenge. You`re saying no more chess and you are still here :-)

BTW Why do you toppost ? I don`t like reading from down to top. Do you ?

Regards,

Jerzy

Ah, I can see now. You`re lazy.

Why do you ask?

Because it`s not easier for me to read your posts. And some could say that
you waste "bandwidth" by quoting unnecessary stuff :-)

Jerzy

I should posit (but I won't) that your assertions are a waste of bandwidth
too.

Frankly, with the price of storage at phenomenally low rates, the "wasted
bandwidth" argument is totally falacious, and you know it. Your sole reason
then, must be to "raise" an objection, however insignificant.

And, the third rail of USCF politics is Bill Goichberg. Say something bad
about him ... off to the gulag (TDCC, Ethix committees) you go.

I thought "wasting bandwidth" referred, not to the amount of hard-drive
storage required for a few dozen extra characters, but to the extra time that
is required to transmit/receive those extra characters. Some fools actually
pay long-distance rates to download this stuff, and then try to blame others
for their own stupidity. :-0

The Chinese (billions of them) have read from bottom to top for centuries,
without complaint. :-)

The "point" of top-posting is that you can read someone's comments, and *if*
you are interested in what they were responding to, you can then look at the
bottom part (or not).

The alternative, which is claimed to be superior for some reason, is to
always force your victims to go over the comments to which you are responding,
and only then are they allowed to see your response below.

One problem with arbitrarily deciding which format is "superior" and then
trying to force everyone to post alike, is that much "bandwidth"/time/energy is
wasted on arguing about the format, rather than the content, of postings.

Rather than fall victim to that, let me say now that the fact that Kasparov
lost, is proof enough that his opponent received no human "help." :-)

I like the way you think

Our revels now are ended. These our actors,
As I foretold you, were all spirits and
Are melted into air, into thin air:
And, like the baseless fabric of this vision,
The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces,
The solemn temples, the great globe itself,
Ye all which it inherit, shall dissolve
And, like this insubstantial pageant faded,
Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff
As dreams are made on, and our little life
Is rounded with a sleep.
---William Shakespeare, The Tempest, Act 4, Scene 1
