In the Marines in '66, some of my New York buddies actually asked

if this
was the first time I'd ever worn shoes!! Some also thought

Charleston was the
South's largest city.
One of my all time favorite New Yorker stories was told by my

brother who
at one time was a salesman for a company HQ'd in Atlanta. Every odd

year the
national sales meeting was held in Atlanta. So, one of his salesman

pals was
down from the NYC territory. This was about the time of the first

Gulf War...
and at the big company dinner the guy from New York was carrying on

about how
CNN was running circles around the networks in their war coverage.

Suddenly he
stopped and asked the table, "You guys get CNN down here, don'tcha?"

He didn't
know he was about three blocks away from CNN HQ.

That dog don't hunt; and (3) We're in this one 'til the last dog dies.
