I am not sure that the fact that Elizabeth Shaughnessy plays for

the
Irish Woman's Team in the World Chess Olympiad is a qualification

for
being on the USCF Board. It seems that she is not a US Citizen.

She is not a former participant either. She plays in every

Olympiad.
She was in Spain this year too, but she did not play.

She also almost holds the record for weakest player. Have you ever
tried to play over one of her games? They are published, you know.
Often, diagrams from her games appear in the "amazingly weak moves"
sections of chess magazines.

Has anyone tried to play through Sam Sloan's Damiano's Defense

analysis? It
is published, you know. I would gladly place it in the "amazingly

weak
analysis" section of a chess magazine if I thought anyone was

interested. I
blithely refuted a couple of his feeble attempts, ending up in

endgames up a
stray 3 or 4 pawns. Interestingly, he never replied to that

analysis.

What Randy Bauer neglects to mention is that my Damiano's Defense
always wins, unless of course my opponent has a pocket frizt in which
case he can look up Randy's analysis while pretending to play pocket
pool.
