Yes, I am big patzer: I saw 22.Nxg7 in game 2--just misevaluated the
position, and I'm not sure what possessed me to play ...Rd3 in game 3 (other than a feeling that I had to do _something_). But that's not the funny I'm talking about. Intellectually, I don't feel any differently about Sam Sloan and his general effect on the dysfunctionality of USCF politics than I did yesterday. Emotionally, it's harder to hate a person after having played chess with him. |

Both of you displayed great sportsmanship today and deserve
congratulations for transcending the usual RGCP logorrhea to actually sit down and play CHESS! I am very glad I sponsored this match! wrote: Yes, I am big patzer: I saw 22.Nxg7 in game 2--just misevaluated the position, and I'm not sure what possessed me to play ...Rd3 in game 3 (other than a feeling that I had to do _something_). Yes, and we all owe you a hearty pat on the back and big thank you for coming up with the cash and the idea. Thanks for organizing this, Ty. Very entertaining way to spend an otherwise boring Sunday when it's too hot to do anything outside. Well done! Regards, Matt |

For a child-molesting felon, he's not unpleasant. ;-)
Warm and cuddly? No. We did not shake hands. Let me put it this way: it's obvious from his various websites that Sam lives on Planet Sloan. I now have a better idea of that planet's orbit.... |
