Default a teenager? 5,000 REWARD FOR FINAL CONVICTION

I think that we all need to pause and think on R.C.P.G. the possibility
that the poster making death threats against me is a child, between 16
and 18 years old. After all, the USCF has a voting age of 16.

Let me tell you: I WILL PAY THE REWARD TO CONVICT A MINOR. I DO NOT
CARE.

I would just feel bad if that were the case. If you are a teenager, and
you know who is doing this, you can CLAIM THE REWARD WITH FIDE AND KEEP
YOUR IDENTITY SECRET.

If this is a minor, the teenager likely knows the identity of somebody
he or she pretends to be. The adult that he likes or follows, probably
a USCF politican. I would suggest a scholastic chess setting, where
they train their children how to vote, Mike Nolan style.

Between the reward and the chance we have a child, odds are good that
someobody can get caught. I can understand how a teenager, especially a
12-16 year old male child could get.

If everyone could be more alert around children, I think that these
threats of violence could suddeny cease.

I'm not a child. I'm a 29 year old grown man who just happen to live
with my Mom. Stop busting my chops.

You want to pay to find out who this guy is? All you have to do is
send me the filing fee for a lawsuit, service of process, and a
subpoena (about $400 total), and I'll be happy to file a case myself
against the person for impersonating me and tyring to endanger me. I
can't guarantee the results, but I definitely am close to suing this
guy myself and would do so if money weren't a barrier.

Here's your chance.

No, I think that you need to accept the reward, decline the reward, or
prepare for a supenoa. I'd be careful about asking me for money until
we have a final conviction. You will just get sued.

I didn't make the posts, so there's nothing to sue me over.

Since he's impersonating me, however, he is defaming me, and I could
subpoena his identity from AOL. Unfortunately, it's costly to do that
and I may be able to get him to stop without a lawsuit (AOL might just
TOS their account).

There's nothing illegal about paying my costs if you feel my case might
help you and I have a reason to file it independent of you. I couldn't
care less about any reward, but I can't go shelling out $350 or
whatever given my resources.
