Who is going to want to work for the USCF in Crossville, Tennessee"

Crossville, Tennessee - a great place to run Chess radio ads.

"Do you know that the FACTS about chess? Do you know that chess
officials in FIDE, of which the United States Chess Federation fully
supports finically, intend to DRUG TEST you children, that is, make
them strip naked and urinate in a cup under current FIDE guidelines.
Please, don't let your child play chess! The FACTS are that chess is
dangerous for children. FIDE has drug tested children, as young as 8
years old, in the past."

Isn't this a pitiful thing??? Mr. SamSloan, I agree with you a lot.. However, I think more would listen, if you would use nicer language.
Besides, why would the kids or anyone else strip naked for a urine test? Is this really true?
Isn't there a reason for the drug test?? Wasn't someone busted for drug use? This really sucks, because Chess should be a game of intelligence not total ignorance..

No Kidding,

It is not true that anyone strips naked for a urine sample.
The subject urinates into a cup and hands it to an official.
This "strip naked" is a Marcus Roberts fantasy that he concocted
to gain sympathy for some obscure reason. Drug testing is
common in many sporting events.

There is no proof that FIDE has forced 8 year old chess players
to take a drug test. Again a Marcus fabrication with zero
evidence.

Argentia. I could have the age wrong, it could have been a 9 year old.
Parr told me know about it, but didn't have his earlier posts. I
remered the story after he mentioned it. It is my job to keep up with
an organizatoin that drug tests, and I don't care what other sports do.

You go tell me your real name, then strip, and pea in a cup in front of
somebody else, then come and tell me what you have to say about drug
testing. Right now, I think I am a little closer than you to the issue,
and I have real power to suggest change to the status quo.

Proof. Give me factual evidence that a 9 year old had to
strip and pee in a cup. No more rhetoric, just prove to me
what you say is true. Otherwise, shut the **** up.

I was a USCF (United States Cycling Federation) racer in the
80's and had to give urine samples on a few occasions. It did
not involve having to 'strip naked - you went into a bathroom
stall and urinated in a cup, then hand it to the USCF official.
Nobody saw your goodies, so I believe what you are saying is
bull****. Have you ever in your life taken a drug test, Marcus?
What are you trying to hide anyway?

Yes, I have taken several drug tests, UNDER THE SAME CONDITIONS AS YOU.
I have NEVER taken an observed drug test, so you and I seem to be in
the same boat as experience.

I am a FIDE Delegate. You know I have the money to get St Kitts and
Nevis into the World Chess Championship, I am just too cheap to get
impatient and drop more than 20K in a Swiss court. Let me have a round
with the USCF FIRST.

So, tell me if you would take an observed drug test for FIDE? I need to
know.

The Chess Governemnt on St Kitts and Nevis just got defacto
recoginiation from FIDE. Look, I have a technical degree, and I
understand you are in a college kind of environment, but FIDE
governments are POLITICAL, not academic. You will never ask the same
question to the FIDE Delegate fom Somalia.

Dear Mr. Roberts,

According to the laws of FIDE, a person can be a member of only one
Federation at a time. Does this mean you are know longer associated
with St. Kitts and Nevis?

Sincerely,
Bill Kelleher
Vice-President FIDE
