For a discussion of women in chess and a photo of a supermodel gracing
the cover of VOGUE who is president of the Estonian Chess Federation

against women in the world of Chess. Why is there a women's division in
Chess. Why cant they compete successfully against men in head to head
competition.

It's quite simple. Men are much stronger at chess than women EXCEPT
Judith Polgar who can more than hold her own with the best of them.
Why did Judith stop competing in women's events long ago. The women's
events for her was no challenge.

Perhaps it's that attractive women tend to distract males who lack
sufficient libido control? I remember in the documentary "Chess Kids"
that Josh Waitzkin said that playing against girls and in particular,
Judit Polgar distracted him. He said they made it hard to concentrate
on chess. So perhaps women playing against men is actually an advantage
to the women?

I cant remember names or when (about a year and a half ago i believe)
where there was a tourny where a male player complained that he lost
his game against a female competitor because she wore a low cut
top. Had me laughing for quite awhile .

I see your point, but I disagree. Even for those who get distracted from
simply playing a female......probably geeks who get no sex and are rarely
around women normally, the novelty will soon wear off. Nobody will be
"perpetually" distracted by playing a woman.
