Susan Polgar has never been to school a day in her life. She has no
academic qualifications. As far as I am aware, she has never taught a
regular chess class in a school. She has also never organized or
directed a scholastic chess event.

Nevertheless, she has often suggested that the scholastic chess
community break away from the USCF and form a new organization under
her leadership.

So far, the scholastic chess leaders around the country are not buying
it.

Bill,

You just posted not long ago that there are moderators in this forum.
Is the post above acceptable? There is no truth to any of the points
posted above. Another word, all the points above are flat out lies.

Again, the question is how many lies will it take to be sanctioned? Or
do board members get special treatments?

Thanks!
PT

At the time I wrote the below, I didn't realize that the issue would
acquire such immediacy.

So what did happen with forum moderation? Do we have a moderator? Do
we have a moderation committee?

The idea of appointing a moderation committee was approved and a
subcommittee of Bill Hall, Bill Goichberg and Randy Hough appointed to
nominate the members. We continue to have an anonymous moderator.

So when can we assure Susan and other disaffected members that the
USCF has taken control of this forum and that it will be policed
properly from now on?

The above is from the February Board Meeting thread.

I don't know. Things have toned down recently, but as I observed,
until things get fixed, any lull is only a between-storms
interpolation. First, we need managers with the WILL and the sense of
URGENCY to get things DONE!

I don't think board members get special treatment. The moderator is
not as active in removing inappropriate posts, from board members or
others, as I would like. I hope we will have our new moderation
committee in place soon and expect that when this happens, many more
posts will be removed.

Has anything been touched since Mike stepped down as moderator?

Evidently not. SS posted this beauty just 2 days ago:

other caused me to lose my train of thought.)

Your particular form of insanity has been noted by others. You have an
obsessive-compulsive need to post long compilations of posts by
others. Now, for the first time, you have actually written something
yourself. You should seek help.

If you or I wrote something like that, we'd be banned for life from
this forum. And rightly so.
