365 Selected Chess Endings by Whitaker is published today
My latest reprint, "365 Selected Chess Endings" by Norman T. Whitaker
and Glenn E. Hartleb, has gone on sale today on Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/dp/0923891846 Although this book was first published in Germany in 1960, it never got in the bookstores because Hartleb was killed in an auto accident shortly thereafter. The only people I know who actually have the book were given it by Whitaker. I have reprinted the book but expanded the size to 6 x 9 to make the diagrams larger and easier to read. The endings are a collection of actual tournament games plus composed studies. It is a mixed bag, including famous blunders by world champions. Sam Sloan
