This is a song to be played on a steel guitar to the music of I can't
remember which song. It goes like this: Everybody Wants Lux Everybody Wants Lux Everybody Wants Lux but Susan It is a fact that every campaign letter or endorsement letter that has gone out thus far has endorsed Joe Lux for the USCF Executive Board. What makes this especially surprising is that everybody considered Joe Lux to be the tail-ender when the election campaign started. Yesterday morning, Susan Polgar got up and said: "Morror, Mirror on the Wall. Whose the fairest of them all?" The mirror answered: Joe Lux This answer has set Susan off on a tizzy. In a wild frenzy, she has been attacking Joe Lux all morning. Take a look at: http://susanpolgar.blogspot.com/2007...on-thread.html It has gotten so bad that Susan Polgar forgot all about attacking Bill Goichberg today. |

Take a look at: http://susanpolgar.blogspot.com/2007...on-thread.html It has gotten so bad that Susan Polgar forgot all about attacking Bill Goichberg today. Nobody has commented on this but I want to use this as an example of how Susan unfairly attacks other candidates for election, candidates that she will have to sit with and work with in closed session if she is elected. (Since she so often attacks other candidates or current board members I wonder if she plans to serve at all if anything less than her entire slate is elected.) Here is what has appeared on Susan's Blogspot about Joe Lux: "Today, he criticized Dr. Korenman for organizing a major event to benefit kids nationwide. Korenman even got Barrack Obama to agree to come to this event to boost chess. Instead of thanking Dr. Korenman, Joe Lux decided to blast him. "Joe, who has done nothing more than being a TD and coach, who has no other experience, decided to reckless attack his opponents with Sam Sloan style. "We don't need another reckless person like Sam Sloan on the board and he promptly lost my vote. That vote will now go to Mr. Jim Berry. "Thursday, June 07, 2007 6:07:00 PM Anonymous said... "I just read that too and it's a pity. I though Lux was a nice guy and now I see that he's just a front man for Bill Goichberg and company. They're afraid of what Dr. Korenman and Paul Truong can do so they attack them relentlessly. I won't vote for Berry but my intended vote for Lux will now go to Mikhail Korenman." ====================== Now, here is what Joe Lux actually wrote: Quote:
Mikhail Korenman. Joe Lux did not even mention Mr. Korenman by name. Joe Lux is not trying to stop those little kids who just want to play chess. Rather, Joe Lux is objecting to having a scholastic tournament involving small children FIDE RATED. There are many valid reasons why there should not be FIDE Ratings for small children. Many people object to even having USCF ratings for children. I disagree with Joe Lux. I feel that if Mr. Korenman wants to obtain FIDE ratings for children that is his right as long as he is willing to pay the substantial FIDE rating fees. However, even though I disagree with Joe Lux, I feel that he has a valid point and he should be free to express his views without being so viciously attacked by Susan Polgar. Sam Sloan |
