At the tender age of 7, Susan Polgar's oldest son has
already mastered the art of exaggerating his accomplishments. In 2006, Tom Polgar-Shutzman won the 2nd grade section of the K-12 national scholastic tournament. As seen in the video "My Brilliant Brain, Part 2", Tom explains "He [opponent Yash Pershad] played well until the end, and then he messed up a lot. He stepped into a one-move checkmate." "Now I'm the US champion", brags Tom. Wow, US champion! Already he can pad his resume, just like mommy and step-daddy do. |
