Assist in the testing Eclipse based C/C++ development tools designed
for Symbian OS based platforms. Work closely with test team and
developers to analyze feature requirements, write test cases and
execute them, submit defects and test reports.

Main Responsibility Areas:
- Responsible for producing test requirements from formal or informal
functional requirements documents
- Work closely with developers and testers to analyze feature
requirements and generate test scenarios
- Provide feedback to developers/marketers to assist in creating
requirements designed for test
- Writing test plans and specifications
- Understand application feature requirements and take into account
developer feedback, engineering release notes and product
demonstration to write plain-English test cases and expected results
- Develop test suites where required
- Review test cases for completeness and accuracy
- Create and use Java test code style and documentation standard
- Execution of tests and interpreting results
- Following test cases and procedures, test new engineering software
releases to find defects and report test results
- Preparing and maintaining test reports and defect management records
- Submit defects
- Take ownership of defect reports to validate and close defect
submissions
- Generate and distribute test results and summaries

- Usage and testing of RAD tools
- On-device application development/verification -- PDA/Phone/Embedded/
Smart Appliance
- Exeprience using Eclipse or similar Integrated Development
Environment
- Familiarity with scripting languages (such as PERL, VB)
- Knowledge of Java and C++
- Experience with SymbianOS or other embedded GUI operating system
- Strong documentation skills
- Experience with Microsoft Windows, Office
- Experience with Agile methodology would be helpful
- Bachelor's degree in Computer/Software Engineering or 3 - 5 years of
relevant experience
