Each time he murdered somebody, he marked one square on his chess
board. His goal was to complete the board. He had only one square remaining when he was arrested for 49 counts of murder for the bodies that were found. He was quoted (translated from Russian) of saying that killing is as necessary as eating, he can't go without killing any more than he can go without food. I learned of this just today on Russia Today on channel 32, although he was arrested a year ago. He's already confessed to the 63 murders, including the 49 of the criminal charges, yet has demanded a jury trial in the hopes he'll be aquitted and thereby allowed a chance to finish filling the chessboard. But if he's released I don't believe he'd stop killing when the board is full. He doesn't like to get blood on his clothes, so he comes up behind people and hits them on the back of the head with a hammar. IMO, he is a disgrace on all Chess players, just as the suicide bombers are a disgrace on Islam, the priests who molest children are a disgrace on the Catholic Church, and GWBush+Cheney are a disgrace on the Republican Party, and Robert Soloway is a disgrace to people named "Robert", and my former wife was a disgrace on Philipino women. (Bobby Fischer was a bit of a disgrace on Chess players too, although nowhere near as gross as this serial killer!) |
