But at the risk of sounding dumb.... what is USAT? its an otb team tourney, usually played in NJ. i think that's where ernie got his gm draw i got some other biz with board - and haven't made a formal challenge yet, at moment various folks are off to mexico, so maybe in 3 weeks we should issue a cc challenge? i think challenges are your biz, rob - though we might as well decide to have a straight rgcp team (the bashed neaps?), or another [with ringers! as in other mail] bill hall was actually into this! and wanted in - but natually i dissed him on rob's behalf, prefering to play 'other ranks' only after the board chicken out ![]() i also didn't get hold of ray keene's response yet, who was going to check if the brits wanted to do same, either against 'the bashed neaps' or the uscf board phil innes |

I tried to get her "out of book" early. I did that. The problem was, she just developed some quick tactical lines that cut through me like a hot knife through butter. At one point, she even taunted me! LOL They play is very enjoyable and has some very strong players in the match. Perhaps someone will analyize the matches? Rob |

E-JAY (a.k.a Soulpower74) United States Amateur Team (USAT) Championships. They usually have 4 of them East,West,North and South. They are fun tournaments where you could play a Class B player in one Round and a Grandmaster in the next.I Play at the USATE which is played in Parsippany NJ.Teams of 4 and played every Presidents Day Weekend in Feb.The winning teams in each Region play an Internet Team Match to determine the Champion. So I thought it would be nice for players on this forum to form a team and meet in person. At the USATE you could even meet Sam Sloan !! |

Membership has it's priviledges. The Chessville Open tournament has WGM Yelena Dembo praticipating. There are only four spots open in the tournament. You must be a chessworld.net member to play($24 or $28/ year I think) We also have two teams the RGCP Hitmen and the RGCM Chess Politics team. Our intent is to have some very interesting matches played as well as challenge the USCF board to a team match. If you wish to participate or just watch, here is the link: http://www.letsplaychess.com/chesscl...sp?from=179341 I hope everyone will take part. But to do so you have to act quickly. Thanks, Rob Mitchell WGM Yelena Dembo is currently leading the "Chessville Open" Her score is +4 -0 =0 Drop by the site for free and kibitz on a game or two! |
