Default Chessworld.net: "Chessville Open" has WGM Playing!

Membership has it's priviledges. The Chessville Open tournament has
WGM Yelena Dembo praticipating. There are only four spots open in the
tournament. You must be a chessworld.net member to play($24 or $28/
year I think)

We also have two teams the RGCP Hitmen and the RGCM Chess Politics
team. Our intent is to have some very interesting matches played as
well as challenge the USCF board to a team match.

If you wish to participate or just watch, here is the link:

http://www.letsplaychess.com/chesscl...sp?from=179341

I hope everyone will take part. But to do so you have to act quickly.
Thanks,

Rob Mitchell

I dont know what that termination in progress means. Maybe she is
giving up under my tremendous assault? No not the case she just won a
knight off of me. :-(

We have some in the tournament rated 2800! Some very strong players.
You should be able to pick up some points!

Ernie got a very creditable recent OTB draw against a GM. He will be an
asset. Board #1 for the board will be our problem, but we are on it, no

In exchange for the e-pawn you sacrificed, you
now have her out of the books, plus every time
you do this, you get a half-open file for your
Rooks! (Try to remember that you only have
*two* Rooks, so limit the sacrifices accordingly).

No not the case she just won a knight off of me. :-(

Now her pieces will get in each other's way,
because she has too many. The middle game,
my boy, is all about piece coordination!

Maybe IM Innes can, but I always have the
hardest time with 2800s, on account of them
frequently drawing me. One had only a Rook
against my Queen, but somehow I took fifty-
two moves and he escaped with a draw. The
other time I had two Knights and a Bishop,
and wouldn't you know it, he got one of those
freaky RxB sac's which left me two pieces up
but with no way to win. Truth is, I would much
rather stick to playing 3100s, where the draws
are not a problem and we just trade losses,
back and forth about evenly. But that was
before I got ECO, and I was just making stuff
up in the opening, like 1.e4 f5?!! 2.ef Kf7!?!
You'd be surprised how badly these GM-types
mess up really obvious stuff like mate-in-fifteen... .
