It appears that virtually nothing of substance is to be discussed on the
USCF Issues Forum. Please note that the pulled post was initially approved from the Moderator's Q. Brian Laferty Polgar Alleges EB Threats Against Her Children Sent at: Fri Jan 18, 2008 10:41 am From: tanstaafl To: Brian Lafferty Subject: Polgar Alleges EB Threats Against Her Children Brian Lafferty wrote:Polgar has posted the following on chessdiscussion, "Once this first lawsuit is dismissed, I am more at liberty to speak out. I am completely disgusted with how some of my fellow board members have behaved. This is quite an eye opening experience. They and their friends tried to destroy my personal and professional reputation. They tried to make me lose my job. They threatened my family and me before, during and after the election. And the worst is they even tried to use my children as pawns to "convince" me to quit. How sick is that?" [emphasis added] If Ms. Polgar is serious that EB members have threatened her and her children I would expect the following from her: 1. That she will have contacted the police in Lubbock, TX to inform them of the facts in her possession and arrange for her children to be protected. 2. If she can not substantiate these allegations she will be the subject of a recall petition. I have spoken with Donna Alarie and we are in full agreement on this point. 3. By her allegations, she has effectively alleged that the 2007 USCF EB election was fraudulently conducted. Several USCF members are considering contacting the Illinois Attorney General to ascertain what the AG might be able to do in this situation. Some of you may recall that Mr. Truong sent an email behind my back to a member of the USCF FOC implying that I was making threats against Polgar and her children. My attorney answered that with a letter threatening a defamation action against him. Polgar and Truong need to be separated from any and all USCF activity. Mr. Lafferty, Post is pulled for "suggestions without specifically identified substantial proof" of They threatened my family and me before, during and after the election. We've said it before -- just because you're quoting somebody doesn't mean you're not responsible for the words in your post. Susan Polgar has NOT identified any evidence that other board members threatened her family. Neither have you. That being the case, I'm pulling the post until and unless such "substantial proof" is identified. This post is currently under discussion (and it may actually be restored). The quote I identified is NOT the only part of the post that is being examined. You'll be notified when a decision is made. tanstaafl Moderator |
