In my case, any two defendants who have the same counsel (other than the
married ones) would be a conflict, since some would have to testify against
the other.

will stand on their own without you and will, hopefully, be addressed

Their resignation won't make this go away. Absent a clean sweep in court,
The entire board would have to step down, minimum.
