When is the next date at which something is scheduled to happen? I had
certainly hoped that the process would be further along by this point; is this normal or is there a specific cause for the delay? Jerry Spinrad |

Jerry Spinrad Jerry, Have you checked the IP address from Wikipedia thats tied to Sloan? It is in a previous post. I don't know if it crossreferences the Mottershead list or not. I think Louis Blair may have found it or maybe Guy Macon found it. Since that posting by Guy, the whole topic seems to have dried up. Maybe thats the answer? Rob PS How 'Bout dem 'dores! |

Jerry Spinrad The issues before the judge are complex mainly because this is a new kind of lawsuit. I expect to win mainly because Internet forgery and identity theft are such a big problem worldwide that it cannot be ignored. I would be totally shocked if the judge dismissed my complaint at this early stage. This case could easily go on for years. Sam Sloan |

Sam Sloan Unfortunately, Sam, judges are required to follow the law, not your feelings. I would have thought that your long, long string of losses might have given you some inkling of this by now. I guess not. |

There are the FRCP but there are also local rules too. They must be complied with or you can get dismissed. Also Federal Court is more about form than substance, so you should follow the form, type your pleadings in Times New Roman 12 pt, and make it more readable. This pleading will be read by a law clerk, who will make reccomdations to the Judge about what needs to be addressed, and what is fluff. The less fluff in your pleading, the better. A big problem with Pro Se litigants is that they think something is actionable just because it violates your personal moral compass. Federal Courts are not swayed by emotional pleadings, and if you don't have the law and prescident on your side, you won't prevail. The Court can only rule on what you put before it. When you write your Amended Complaint, you should remove anything you can't show is illegal. Get someone to help you, it's uphill as it is... Jerry Spinrad Well Jerry here's a word to the wise: Your question is sure to bring forth numerous anonymous (adolescent) attorney wanna-bees' replies. ;-) |
