Is this really going to happen?

Is this what we discussed at the Nashville planning session? Was this
premature? I thought I was to handle the releases.

Very important announcement coming up

My husband and I have been in a number of negotiation sessions (via
phone) this entire weekend which could immediately effect our USCF
board members status as well as our status at the Texas Tech
University Susan Polgar Institute for Chess Excellence. I expect to be
able to bring you the latest news within the next 48 hours. Stay
tuned!

Here's a wild guess. Polgar and hubby will announce that they are going
off to start a new national/scholastic chess organization or join forces
with an existing organization (NACA comes to mind) to build chess in a
manner they found impossible to do as members of the USCF Executive
Board. Texas Tech will let them out of their contracts or grant them
leaves of absence so as to allow them to pursue this adventure.

If Polgar and Truong are about to resign, it may become possible to
consider a partial settlement of my suit.

Since tomorrow is what it is, I am surprised that Gordon has not made
such a suggestion yet....

By the way I plan to lunch with a select group of aliens aboard their
saucer tomorrow where we plan to discuss world peace and the fate of the
Seattle Sonics basketball team.

Don't take any wooden nickels...

Would that mean you only cut off one of your hands to apologize for
your disgraceful behavior?

In this matter, Sam has nothing to apologize for. Sam was
impersonated, and when credible experts identified the culprit, he
filed a lawsuit. Where do you find fault in his actions? I wish the
USCF had not been named in the suit, but this would certainly not
qualify as disgraceful behavior. There was one disgraceful thing he
did during this discussion, but it was never part of the lawsuit and
is irrelevant to the matter at hand.

I hope that Truong does not try to bring down the USCF for his own
ends. At some point, he is going to have to own up to his actions
rather than continue to blame other people for his behavior. I do not
believe that he is a criminal in most senses of the word, but he has
shown a pattern of dishonesty and vindictiveness that make him unfit
for a position of trust.

Although it is not relevant, since someone may want to bring in
comparisons, I do not believe that Sam Sloan is worthy for a position
of trust in a major chess organization either. That does not in any
way justify Truong's actions, however.
