The actual outcome belongs to history and dabbling after the fact is a waste of time. Ah, but sometimes history repeats itself. Another thing is that the winner (of a war or a game) often tends to overestimate the role of skill vs. that of luck / circumstances-beyond-control in the final outcome. Dabbling (as with Fritz) after-the-fact can lead to a more realistic perspective, you damn Yankee. :-) |

Admittedly, the 'discussion' in these chess forums has been rather silly and often filled with provocative bickering, and really doesn't belong here at all, but that's not an indication that all such discussion is useless.
