ever.)

You get three (Bronx) cheers and even three cheers more but not that
extra buck.

I'm not surprised you don't get the 10, 5, and .50 -- since that isn't the
correct change!

You *would* insist on using bourgeois math

The city stench is really revolting.

So there has been no noticeable effect?

Hey, John, hang in there, you and all your NY buddies.

Thanks man.

We actually had to basically flee the city. As of about 10 minutes ago we still
didn't have power back in downtown. Around 7PM we made an executive decision to
go to the beach house on the Island since we knew there was power and hot water
and food and all that good stuff out there. The sun was getting close, we
rescued the car from the garage, and fled. It seems like my neighborhood
(Chelsea) was one of the few Manhattan neighborhoods to get power.

However, even the media in NYC is reacting very angrily to the politician and
Con Edison reports, since they are repeatedly claiming power is back where it
isn't. Quite honestly the media portrayed a very glossed over and blatantly
untrue image of what was happening in the city. We'll have to head back to the
house tomorrow morning to check on it, but for now I'm going to appreciate some
hot soup, a hot shower, and AIR CONDITIONING. Yay. Certainly a good thing to
ground you as a human being.

Actually, it makes your point rather well. It is just unfortunate that you
became involved in the proof!

That would have screwed up the other half of your equation, the "single, a
tenner, and .33" part. Instead, you should have changed the amount you gave
from $23.17 to $24.17.
