What Bruce does not recognize is that rgcp was just formed a few years ago. There have been many other groups. I said that Hanke has been posting since at least 1994. Rgcp did not exist then. So what. You're statement is still false, by invoking my name and claiming I post the most and Hanke is second to me. Since I don't post the most or even the second most, Hanke is also not second only to me regardless of whether he posted to ancient chess forums prior to RGCP. You continue to have problems with your pathological condition. Admission is one of the 12 steps to recovery. For example, Tim Hanke and John Fernandez used to be two of the most active posters to the Chess List. Go to http://listserv.surfnet.nl/archives/chess-l.html and try counting the number of Hanke posts there. Sam Sloan |

If it makes you feel any better Richard, Tim Hanke has only 1,530 posts to RGCP, so much for Sam's claim that he posts more to this newsgroup than any other person besides Bruce Draney. He's not even close to cracking the top 10 of the one's I've mentioned. You forgot to add the Vicar's count to him. StanB While I've long suspected the Vicar was Hanke, I have not gone to the trouble to try and prove it. Some things do seem to fit, such as that they both hail from New England, they both claim to be Experts or above and they both did not attend the Framingham U.S. Open. Best Regards, Bruce Bruce, The Vicar is NOT Hanke, as I suspect Stan knows, but he is just being a pain in the *ss. If you guys were better judges of writing style, it would be obvious to you that I was not the Vicar. Not to mention that the Vicar wasn't always my biggest fan, if I recall correctly. Tim Hanke |

Hi, Bruce--
I use AlforChess and never used an alias. I think I made one or two posts by accident from another screen name on AOL. I remember that Sam jumped on one of these as my "alias" even though I had signed my name! You know those incisive Cramer JsoftheY. Doesn't LP use "parthenon" or whatever? He must have a lot more posts over the years. Regards, al Yes that puts you ahead of Neil, and Liam, but still behind Stan. In addition Al Lawrence has 2,750 posts under AlforChess and I'm pretty sure he's used other posting names besides that, so sorry Richard, that puts you off the list. Larry Parr has 1,020 under that name, but I suspect he's used other names that I couldn't recollect, so he may be up there in the top 10 too. |

A couple more that I forgot or found: Tom Klem: 4,860 surpassing Liam, but trailing Fernandez and Peterson. Tom Dorsch: 3,370 under TOMDORSCH. I'm unsure about other names he might have used. I still can't find Jim Eade under a search, so he must be using a name that I haven't come up with yet to search under. I found another 868 posts by Larry Parr under the name Parrthenon, so he's up to about 1,888. He may have also used other names in the past, and I think he goes back a lot further than most of the rest of us do, as he was even posting before there was such a thing as RGCP. So, with these updated standings and these don't include Jim Eade we have: 1-Eric Johnson 8,380 2-Sam Sloan 8,360 3-Bruce Draney 8,100 4-Kevin Bachler 6,390 5-Stan Booz 6,130 6-John Fernandez 5,980 7-Richard Peterson 4,980 8-Tom Klem 4,860 4,840 10-Neil Brennen 4,551 11-Tom Dorsch 3,370 12-Al Lawrence 2,750 13-Richard Haas 2,190 14-Larry Parr 1,888 15-Tim Hanke 1,530 I'm pretty sure Eade will be ahead of Dorsch when I finally figure out what name he used to post under. Hanke is almost off the radar screen unless we go down to the top 20 instead of the top 15. Hanke has another 1560 posts using the name "Timothy Hanke". James B. Shearer |

Shearer If these are separate posts, this brings Tim up to 3,010. Under the forum that Sloan mentioned, I typed in Tim Hanke and it revealed only 19 posts, so unless Sloan has some particular number in mind, it appears that it is just another way for him to attempt to weasel out of having been caught in a blatant lie or misstatement. You have posted some over the years too, but I looked up James B. Shearer only and it was not enough to put you in the top 10. I thought I remember you using jbswatson or something like that, but could not get anything to come up under that search. Do you have a total for yourself? Best Regards, Bruce |

Shearer, Kenneth Sloan and some others who post a lot, but not nearly frequently enough to make the cut. I'm still waiting for a retraction from Sam Sloan, but I'm not going to hold my breath waiting for "Mr. I have never lied", to refute his own statement that he has never lied. Best Regards, Bruce |
